Patio Paving

Patio Contractors in Dublin

A good patio is level where the table goes, falls gently away from the house and sits right with the back door and the lawn. Each one is built for the garden it is in, to your own design or a layout we suggest at the free visit.

Choose porcelain, sandstone, traditional limestone or granite, in riven, smooth or textured finishes. Samples of each come to the visit so you can see them in your own light before you decide.

Steps to the back door, paths to the shed, drainage channels and raised beds can be built in the same job, so the whole space is finished together.

How It Works

How Your Patio Is Built

  1. Visit & Design

We measure the garden, talk through the layout and bring porcelain and stone samples.

  2. Dig Out

The area is cleared and dug out to make room for a solid base.

  3. Base & Falls

The base is compacted and set to a gentle fall so water runs away from the house.

  4. Lay & Point

Slabs are laid and cut to the layout, steps and edges are finished, and the joints pointed.

  5. Final Check Together

We review the completed work with you and confirm everything has been done as agreed.

FAQs

Patio Questions Answered

Porcelain or Natural Stone: Which Is Better for a Patio?

Porcelain is hard-wearing, even in colour and very easy to keep clean. Natural stone such as sandstone, limestone or granite has more variation in colour and texture for a traditional look. Samples of both come to the site visit.

Is There a Warranty on a New Patio?

Yes. Patio installations come with a 5-year warranty, and the slabs themselves are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty as well.

Can You Design the Patio for Me?

Yes. Bring your own idea or drawing, or we suggest a layout at the free visit based on the size of the garden, the sun and how you want to use the space.

Do You Build Steps & Paths With the Patio?

Yes. Steps to the back door, paths, raised beds and drainage channels can all be built as part of the same job, in matching or contrasting stone.

Will Rainwater Drain Away From the House?

Yes. The base is set to a gentle fall away from the house, and a drainage channel can be added along the back wall or a doorway where it is needed.
