Dublin Driveway Cleaning

Irish weather is hard on a driveway. Moss and algae settle in the joints, weeds push through, and tyre marks and grime darken the surface until it looks far older than it is, and green growth can make it slippery in winter.

A deep clean with pressure washing equipment lifts that build-up from block paving and other hard surfaces. On block paving the joints are then topped up with fresh sand, which locks the blocks back together and leaves less room for weeds to return.

If the clean shows up sunken or broken areas underneath, you are told straight away, so a repair can be done at the same time rather than being found later.

How It Works

How We Clean a Driveway

  1. Look at the Drive

We check the surface, the joints and any staining so you know what the clean can achieve.

  2. Clear the Joints

Weeds and moss are lifted out of the joints and the loose debris is cleared away.

  3. Deep Clean

The whole drive, borders and steps are pressure washed to lift ground-in dirt.

  4. Re-Sand the Joints

On block paving, fresh sand is brushed in to lock the blocks and close the joints.

  5. Final Check Together

We review the completed work with you and confirm everything has been done as agreed.

FAQs

Driveway Cleaning Questions

How Often Should a Driveway Be Cleaned?

It depends on how shaded the drive is and how much traffic it takes. Many homes find a deep clean every couple of years keeps moss and staining under control, with a regular sweep in between.

Will Pressure Washing Damage My Block Paving?

Not when it is done properly. The jointing sand does wash out during cleaning, which is why it is topped up with fresh sand afterwards to lock the blocks back in place.

Can You Remove Oil Stains?

A deep clean lifts most surface staining, and older oil marks usually fade a good deal. Some stains that have soaked deep into a block may not come out completely, and you are told that before work starts.

Do You Clean Tarmac & Concrete Drives Too?

Yes. Tarmac, concrete and slab driveways can be cleaned as well as block paving, using a method suited to each surface.

Will the Weeds Come Back?

Re-sanding the joints after the clean leaves less room for weeds to take hold. Regular sweeping keeps seeds from settling in the joints again.
